Slept in a little today. My son’s wrist is still doing crappy. It is settling in with him that he is going to be hindered for the next few weeks. We had smoothies for breakfast, nice and simple. I got some Christmas wrapping done along with the normal household stuff. My AM snack was a granola bar. For lunch I had a small slice of veggie pizza and a salad. I spent most of the day making sure Ian took it easy. It’s amazing how one minute you could swear he wasn’t even hurt and the next mintue he’s a little puddle of ouchie laying in my lap. My PM snack was some pistachio nuts. In the afternoon my father in law came over to take us out to dinner and hang out with the grandkids. I can’t say I ate the best, we went to a little diner. Afterwards we hit up WalMart to do some last minute shopping. By the time we got home it was late and the kids (especially Ian) were getting cranky. So off to bed with them and onto P90X for me. I didn’t do the double workout today. I just decided to stick with Kenpo. It was a good workout, but I already felt kind of drained before I even began. It has been a roller coaster of the last 24 hours. It’s good that I chose kenpo because it is an easy workout that doesn’t require a ton of thought. It’s something you can get lost in a kind of drift while doing it. It really did help get out some of the aggression I had though…..which is always a good thing. I just want tomorrow to get here. It always feels good to start fresh each week with this program. You can always have another chance to do better. Not eating as healthy as you should have, skipping that one workout (although I think I had good reason), etc……you can start over the next week and say “Ok, this week I’m giving it my all” So here’s to a bumpy week 2 and the start of a kick ass week 3!!!!! TIME TO BRING IT!!!
