Today I had the day off from work. I had a spinach scrambler and some OJ for breakfast. I got the kids off to school and strated in on my list of stuff to do. We are supposed to be getting hit with a major winter storm tonight and tomorrow. I came home from the bus stop and straightened up the house and paid the animals some attention. After that I made my gorcery and meal list. I make “meal lists” that last 2 weeks. This helps cut costs at the gorcery store by eliminating excess and it lets me know what meals to make each day. Next it was off to the grocery store. My AM snack was some grapes and cashews. When I was done grocery shopping I met Tom for lunch at Moe’s. I had a chicken soft taco with only chicken, lettuce, tomato, and a sprinkling of cheese. I dropped Tom back off at work and then headed home to unload the food from the van. By then the weather was starting to get pretty bad and the kids came home early from school. I snagged a PM snack of some string cheese. The kids decided to go out and play in the snow once they got home. I took advantage of the break and did my workout while they were off playing little snow bunnies :) It was shoulders, arms, and ab ripper today. I increased my weights on some exercises from last week. I upped from 5 to 8lbs on the curls, presses, and flys. On the tricep work I upped from 3 to 5lbs. I held strong on at least 12 reps per exercise and did all of the mandatory 16′s. I noticed that I am watching my body posturing a little better this week. It definately helps lift those weights without killing my back. Plus it hepls work my core too. Ab Ripper was still a killer this week. It is hard not to get discouraged. I am one of those people that likes immediate gradification. I know I am getting somewhere, just not where I want to be. Oh impatient me!!!! I can do in and outs no problem. Even the bicycles aren’t too much of a struggle. It’s the scissors, lifts, oblique crunches, and the mason twist that get me every time. I have to keep reminding myself I am only on week 2. Not even all the way through week 2 at that. I am sure by week 4 I will be seeing results I never thought I’d have. I am more or less just FEELING results. I am sleeping better, not so tired at work in the afternoons, and not to mention SORE. The one thing that is keeping me going undoubtedly……my wedding dress came in today!!!! They called me in the morning and I went to try it on later in the day. It fit like a glove!!!! They only have to take it in a hair in the bust. So you know what that means? I ABSOULTELY CANNOT GIVE UP ON THIS WORKOUT!!! Because if I do that damn dress won’t fit come June LOL. I am so excited, and it is awesome to have something else to work towards (sometimes just the idea of being healthy isn’t enough for some). So I am off to make dinner now. I think we will have haddock, asperagus, and wild rice. Laters :)
