Hi guys. Sorry I haven’t blogged in a while. Let me just say that if you could step into my shoes for a day I swear you’d run screaming the other way. Don’t get me wrong, I understand there are many other people out there who would love to trade places with me and gladly take on my responsibilities. Let me bring you all up to speed. I know you guys are aware of some of the things that have been going on. There upper respiratory infection I got a couple weeks ago, then there was the second degree burns, after that came the gastro bug of the century that slammed my floor at work. Well now my daughter is having surgery in 9 days, my son was checked into the hospital today after catching said monster GI virus, and I have a fractured L5 vertebrate in my back from a lovely work injury. To top it off this great economy is starting to take it’s toll on my family and how we get by. Thanks to someone, who shall remain nameless, my daughter’s health insurance was switched right before her trip to the specialist and we now need to find a way to cover a certain percentage of her surgery plus a potential hospital stay (there’s a good chance of that happening thanks to her brother catching the vomit bug from hell). I have had to reschedule my entrance exam into nursing school just to give myself more time to study since I haven’t touched my books in weeks thanks to all this chaos. Long story short guys, life is difficult as hell right now. I am telling you all of this because I want you guys to know that this program is not a joke. It DOES take a lot of your time and commitment. You need to be able to have that support group to push you on the days you don’t want to go on. You need to have a lifestyle that can accomadate this kind of program. It is a great program. I am still amazed by the results my husband recieved. But unfortunately, if you don’t have the time try to either rearrange your lifestyle, or if  you can’t do that, find something else until you can. 10 Minute Trainer is something I did prior to this that worked great for me. I could workout when I had the time and was in charge of what program I could and could not do. I was really impressed with the results I felt and saw in the 39 days I did this program. I definately plan on picking it up again when life calms down. So I guess what I am saying is that I need to focus on a few other things right now before I go charging into something I don’t have time for. I hope this does not discourage any of you from trying this or any other program. I don’t think I need to preach the importance of a healthy lifestyle. I still plan on keeping active and doing what I can with my current injury. So thank you to all who chimed in with their advice and encouragement. I hope you continue on your own journeys and see great achievement. Remeber to always BRING IT!!!!

I decided to pick up today with Yoga X in the AM. I have today off so I think I will double it up today. I had a bagel with cream cheese and fresh apple juice for breakfast this morning. Afterwards I did some housework and spent some time with the kids. Once I had then entertained on a project I did my yoga. It was great. Just what the doctor ordered! I have been buggin about a few things lately and needed to find my inner sanctum for sure! It was still hard work, but more like a reward. I was sweating my butt off and I really felt some of the stretches OWIE! In the end though it felt fantastic!!!! I was so relaxed and recharged after I was finished. The kids were great about not interrupting me either. Thanks guys! After yoga I grabbed an apple and checked out the things the kids had made. Now I am munching away on an aple doing my blog. Don’t know what the rest of the day holds, but I think I will do Chest, shoulders, triceps, and ab ripper later in the day to make up for the off day yesterday. Will blog more later to let ya know.

Started off the morning with some oatmeal with apples. Went to work and had a great day. I love how we are always busy with something to do. Plus I love working with people. My AM snack was an apple with some peanut butter (1 TB). For lunch I had a turkey sandwhich with lettuce, whole wheat bread, fat free cheese, and lite dressing. My PM snack was a protein bar, I knew I’d be needing the energy soon for cardio :) I came home and got the babies off the bus and immediately went to work on the sweat and tears workout. It was killer but definately not as bad as yesterdays. The yoga portion felt great, but I was suprised to see how stiff I was. The kenpo always kicks butt and is fun to do, no cpmplaints there. Come core and plyo time though and I was regreting my days off once again. I pulled through and finished strong but not without some major cursing on my part. Like I said before, I love to yell at the TV to get some motivation. I really have a hard time going from the tires to the wacky jacks. It’s like they are building up to a cardio crescendo with the moves. You go from leg lifts, to heisman, to jump shot, to tires, to wacky jacks. It’s insane!!!!!! By tires you feel like either you’re lungs are going to burst or your legs are turning to jello. But when you push through (remember don’t get crazy, if you need a break take one) and accomplish everything you feel great. So I am going to shower real quick before it is time to start dinner. Don’t know what I am making, probably end up throwing something together real quick. Gotta stay on te ball tonight though, cause American Idol is on tonight!!!

P90X Reviews: Day 36 Core Synergistics

Mental note to self, NEVER take that much time off again!!!!! I had a protein shake for breakfast. Work was another busy day. Lots going on, plus I was trying to resolve some insurance issues before my daughter’s surgery. Stressful day I guess you could say. My AM snack was a strawberry soy joy bar. You can find them in the fitness food isle of just about any grocery store. They were much better than I expected! For lunch I had some beef barley soup and an apple. My PM snack was an ounce of turkey jerky. Once I got home from work and got the kids off the bus I decided to jump right back into things. No use waiting until later tonight when I’m all comfy after dinner. It was core city tonight. I am ashamed to say that those days off really took a toll on my body. It is amazing what those days of lazy can do! I still had the great form and the max reps, but my stamina was shot by about 45 mins into the exercise. I was pouring sweat and breathing nice and heavy by the time we reached walking push ups. It wasn’t much long after that when I threw in the towel for the night. It was to the point that my form was suffering badly. I figure 45 mins is not too shabby though coming off 5 days off, a cold, and some nasty burns to my leg. I am happy with the results tonight, but certainly not thrilled. I guess it will be PUSH PUSH PUSH this next week to get back up to par. Tomorrow night’s workout is cardio x. I can’t wait to see how that kicks my ass! They say this phase 2 period is when you really start to see some defining results. So I plan on kicking it into high gear here and blowing everyone away. So now that I am all soaked and smelly I am going to go jump in the shower before it’s time to cook dinner. Oh, dinner for tonight will be kidney beans with brown rice and turkey kielbasa. Nto sure where that falls on the health scale of things, but I know the rice and turkey are good LOL! So I will talk to you all tomorrow after my trip down cardio lane.

Started off this morning with breakfast in bed. My kids decided to make me some breakfast, isn’t that cute? They made me some toast, cereal, and orange juice. Tom had to work so it was just the 3 of us until after lunch. We kind of just spent time doing whatever we wanted. The kids played with their toys and their DS’s. I watched some TV and did some things on the computer. I skipped my AM snack. For lunch we had soup. The kids had chicken noodle and I had a very good garden vegetable one that healthy choice makes. After lunch we decided to stretch our legs some. The kids have been getting a touch of cabin fever with all the bad weather we’re having. So I found a cute workout on the exercise on demand channel (through Time Warner Cable). They have a 22 min program called Fit Family that is basically a bunch of streching and cardio. I decided to join them for a bit. I have been stationary for too long! It was fun and felt good to get the blood pumping again after all this time off. My leg definately didn’t like it, but no harm was done. After Tom got home we played some Wii bowling, a game of Sorry, and had dinner. I made a casserole with brown rice, chicken, broccoli, and low fat/low sodium cream of chicken soup. It was great! So now I am off to bed. Sounds like we’ll be getting more snow tonight. :(

Today I got to go back to work. I had a soy muffin for breakfast. My AM snack was a nutrigrain bar. Today was extremely busy at work. It seemed like every time I turned around there was something else to do. That is a good thing though because I like to stay busy. It was good to be back after a few days off. I missed everyone and was starting to get stir crazy at the house. My leg was sore throughout the day but that was my only complaint. For lunch we ordered chinese. I was a good girl and got shrimp with steamed veggies. Kind of bland but I dare not eat the other. For my PM snack I have some pitashios and watched part of Oklahoma! with some of my residents. I love that movie! When Tom got home we took the kids to Pizza Hut (they had their Book It coupons for their own personal pan pizza). Tom and I ordered the salad bar and a small veggie lovers. The rest of the night was spent relaxing. I am really starting to miss my workouts!!! At least I am eating healthy.
